Former Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren is set to play on with Zenit St Petersburg.

Now 33, Lovren's form for club and country has convinced Zenit to hand the veteran a new deal.

The stopper played a key role in Croatia's third place finish in the World Cup.

Zenit officials have announced in the Russian press that Lovren will be soon offered a new contract.

West Ham and Dinamo Zagreb have been linked with Lovren this season.
