Zenit St Petersburg midfielder Andrey Arshavin insists he will be returning to Arsenal next season.

RT sports anchor Kate Partridge told tribalfootball.com that Arshavin backed up Arsene Wenger's claims that he expected the Russian to return to Emirates.

"Yes, Arsene Wenger´s comments about his expecting Arshavin to return to Arsenal were reported in Russia. And, following the 2-2 draw with CSKA at the Luzhniki Stadium, RT interviewed Arshavin and asked him if he planned to return to England, to which he replied: 'Yes, of course'. His family are still in London, and his children go to school there.

"However, many pundits feel that Arshavin himself will remain in Russia, even should his family choose to stay in England, though as it stands he is contractually obliged to return in the summer."
