Real Zaragoza are waiting for a response from Manchester United over their latest bid for defender Gerard Pique.

Zaragoza coach Victor Fernandez wants to build his long-term defence around the young Spaniard as he prepares to sell Gaby Milito this summer.

United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is reluctant to lose Pique, but has not thrown out Zaragoza's latest offer - believed to be for £7 million - which was made last week, says DiarioSport.
