Real Zaragoza will try again for Manchester United defender Gerard Pique in January.
Zaragoza attempted to sign the young Spaniard in the summer after Pique's successful spell on-loan at the Primera Liga club last season.
Zaragoza hope to sign Pique for another loan spell when the market reopens.
