Youngster Watson gets short-term Adelaide United deal

Young midfielder Cameron Watson has been given a short-term contract with A-League club Adelaide United.

The 20-year old will join from Victorian Premier League club Oakleigh Cannons as a short-term replacement for the injured Fabien Barbiero.

Watson is a former Young Socceroos representative and after beginning his career with the Victorian Institute of Sport, went on to train and play at the Australian Institute of Sport before having stints in Portugal with FC Porto and Holland with VVV Venlo. He then returned to Melbourne in 2007 to play with the Melbourne Knights before joining the Cannons this year.
