Yobo: Everton lack killer instinct at present

Everton centre-back Joseph Yobo admits his side need to become more ruthless following Sunday's defeat at Fulham coming after leading at half-time and looking comfortable. "We should have done better," Yobo said. "We should definitely have taken advantage when we had the lead. I don't know - maybe we are missing something at the minute.

"It doesn't matter who plays or who is on the bench. We badly let ourselves down in the second half. We know that should have done better.

"They put us under a lot of pressure but we should have been more ruthless but the games are coming thick and fast and we have to put this behind us."

Next for Everton is the Europa League clash against AEK Athens on Thursday at Goodison Park, followed by a league clash at home to Blackburn.

"We have got some important games coming up and we have got to get a win," said Yobo. "But we need to win our next league game and get climbing the table.

"We have had some bad starts before but we have always ended up picking ourselves up. That's what we have got to do again. We can't keep losing games and dropping points."
