Yerry Mina spotted back in Everton training

Yerry Mina has returned to Everton training this week.

The Liverpool Echo says Mina has been pictured back in training at Finch Farm as he prepares to make his potential Everton return against Leicester City.

The Colombian defender, shown in a short video tweeted out by the club, appeared in good spirits as he took to the turf at the Blues base in Halewood, joking alongside team-mate Alex Iwobi.

Mina, who was handed the Everton captain's armband for the first time by caretaker boss Duncan Ferguson on January 22 against Aston Villa, has been sidelined since going off with a hamstring injury 35 minutes into Frank Lampard's first Premier League game in charge, a 3-1 defeat at Newcastle United on February 8.

The 27-year-old, who has played in just 10 of the Blues' 30 Premier League matches this season has subsequently been out for their last 11 fixtures in all competitions.
