Tottenham signing DeAndre Yedlin admits chatting with Clint Dempsey before his move.

Yedlin played with former Spurs striker Dempsey at Seattle Sounders.

He told the New York Times: "He said that in the MLS, the fans who get it, get it - but not all the fans really understand the tactics behind the game.

"Here, it's more cutthroat: They know everything, and you hear it all the time. It's more of a job."
