Yaya Toure skipped out on Manchester City during defeat to Arsenal last week, it has been revealed.
The Daily Mail says details of his argument with James Milner have emerged. The pair clashed as they left the pitch at half-time during the defeat by Arsenal, with the substituted Toure then leaving the ground to start his recuperation rather than hanging around to support his team-mates for the second half.
And the former Barcelona midfielder's questioned the City squad's ambition.
Brother Kolo did not comment about Yaya's early departure from Eastlands last week - which the club have defended - but he did back his brother to beat the critics of the £28million summer signing's performances.
"The first three or four months in the Premier League are always difficult anyway but the good thing is that he is learning and starting to know what he needs to do," said Kolo. "It is a tough, tough competition, with everyone fighting for every ball. It takes time."
