Yann Kermorgant has penned an open letter to Bournemouth fans since his retirement.

The former Cherries striker announced his retirement last week.

He wrote:

"Since I have announced my retirement as a professional footballer, I have received a lot of messages really touching from players, friends and especially from the fans!

"So I want to say a big thank to my ex-teammates who permitted me to pass two tremendous years with lots of incredible memories, including of course a magnificent season that got us promoted to the Premier League. That will be etched into my memory forever.

"I want to thank the manager and all the staff for their incredible job and their professionalism by pushing players to get the best of them.

"I don't forget anybody involved at the club without exception because you are part of the club success, so thank you so much.

"Finally, I want to thank all the fans for their kindness and their unfailing support.

"I could never thank you enough for all you have done for me and I hope to come back one day at Dean Court to watch a game and support the lads with you and say thank you.

"All the best and of course stay at home to be safe."
