Sky Sports reports that Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa has arrived in Newcastle ahead of his proposed move from Montpellier. The Magpies agreed a deal over the weekend for the 23-year-old defender, who was also rumoured to be interesting Arsenal.
Now the French international has arrived in the North East where the Newcastle hierarchy are hoping to finalise his transfer within 48 hours.
