Xisco Munoz has been named new manager of Sheffield Wednesday.

Munoz replaces Darren Moore after his surprise resignation following Wednesday's promotion to the Championship.

The Spaniard won promotion to the Premier League with Watford in 2020/21.

He steps in to take charge immediately, with a first preseason friendly to be staged on Saturday against York City.

After leaving Watford, Munoz also coached SD Huesca and Anorthosis Famagusta.
