Summer signing Granit Xhaka will play his first match for Arsenal in Thursday morning's pre-season meeting with the MLS All-Stars.
The Swiss midfielder was signed from German club Borussia Monchengladbach for £30million earlier in the transfer window and after spending the past few weeks training with his new teammates, is set for action under Arsene Wenger.
Ahead of the encounter with the MLS select in San Jose, Wenger said: "Granit will play a part in the game on Thursday.
"He was short fitness wise last week but will play a part (against the MLS All-Stars)."
