Granit Xhaka hailed the spirit shown for Arsenal's 2-0 win over Chelsea.

The hosts never looked like losing as they went at Chelsea from the off, sealing the win with first-half goals from Alexandre Lacazette and Laurent Koscielny.

Xhaka said, "We said before the game that if you don't fight and you don't win the duels then it will be difficult because Chelsea have a good team. They have quality on the ball so we're happy today.

"We try to help each other with the ball and without the ball and it's important to have this spirit. You can see today that if we always play like this then we can beat whoever we want."

Gunners boss Unai Emery had Aaron Ramsey marking Jorginho and Xhaka added: "Jorginho is a very good player and we knew that before, that's why we have information and we have to run a lot in the middle. We worked well together and Aaron was amazing."
