Barcelona legend Xavi is critical of his former club's performance last season.

Currently playing in Qatar, Xavi has announced he will retire next year.

On Barca, he told 'The Tactical Room': "In general, Barça has fallen asleep.

"It was believed Barca were untouchable."

On Ernesto Valverde, he added: "I see the choice of Valverde very well. He is a prepared guy, has experience, knows the club. He has lived the style and will do well. His arrival means returning to the traditional style."
