Arsenal legend Ian Wright says defeats to Bournemouth like Sunday will continue to happen.

Wright admitted that this is simply what Arsenal supporters have come to expect in recent months, and with Alexis Sanchez set to leave, things will likely get even worse.

"Well I just think Arsenal are in a situation now - especially without players of that calibre - it's just an ordinary side, they're just an ordinary team," said Wright, discussing the defeat.

"I thought [Alex] Iwobi started the game pretty well, he done really well getting forward. Hector done well getting forward, and scored the goal.

"But in the end they couldn't finish Bournemouth off, and Bournemouth didn't get themselves in the game. I don't think Ibe got into the game particularly quickly.

"And [Ryan] Fraser didn't get into the game on the other side.

"But once they did Arsenal just couldn't deal with them, just couldn't deal with them, because that's the kind of team they are at the moment."
