Wrexham are closing in on the signing of former Manchester United player Nick Powell.
The midfielder can also play as a forward, while he will be a free agent this summer.
Powell is out of contract at Stoke City, having experienced a middling spell.
Per The Sun, he could now be heading to League Two side Wrexham, who are determined to strengthen their squad.
Powell, who joined Man United in 2012 and failed to make the grade at Old Trafford, would have to take a pay cut to join Wrexham.
What would appeal to Powell in this situation is that he would likely be a first team regular.
The 29-year-old wants to play regularly wherever he moves this summer.
