World Cup chances look slim for Leeds' Kisnorbo

The World Cup hopes of Leeds United's Patrick Kisnorbo took a huge blow after he was seriously injured in last night's League One loss to Millwall.

The Australian defender was carried off in just the seventh minute of the match at Elland Road with what appeared to be an Achilles injury and if that is the case, his dream of making the Socceroos' World Cup squad would be over.

Kisnorbo has been impressive for the Whites this term after crossing from Leicester City where he endured two knee injuries that kept him out of the game for some time.

This latest setback does not look good for Kisnorbo who was really pressing for selection in Pim Verbeek's 23-man squad to go to South Africa.
