Chris Wood is delighted with the progress he's made at West Brom.
The young Kiwi is set to lead the line for New Zealand at this month's World Cup.
Wood, aged 18, is looking forward to the biggest footballing stage.
"I think I've made good progress so far this year," said the Auckland-born striker. "It was a learning experience, and I'm delighted with my first professional season.
"It was a good season, with the first team (at Albion) and the national team. Things are going well, but now I'm concentrating on the World Cup. It's the first one we've been at as a nation since 1982. I can't wait.
"We've got some tough games but we're going to give it our best go.
"I can't wait for our first match against Slovakia on Tuesday - hopefully I can come up against Marek (Cech)."
