Wolves unconcerned about Sporting Lisbon demands for Rui Patricio

Wolverhampton Wanderers are not worried about the demands coming out from Sporting Lisbon regarding Rui Patricio.

The goalkeeper signed with Wolves this summer after terminating his contract with Sporting.

But now the Portuguese club are demanding a £48.5 million fee for the keeper, as they believe his contract termination was not valid.

Sky Sports understands the club are not worried about the situation. They believe it can be resolved through a compromise or a FIFA tribunal. Regardless, the club was prepared to pay £18 million for the player before he terminated his contract.

Patricio is not the only Sporting player who terminated his deal following an incident where fans attacked players at the training ground - with some Sporting board members said to have knowledge of the incident.

The likes of William Carvalho and Gelson Martins also asked for their contracts to be terminated.
