Wolves to trigger Semedo contract option

Wolves are ready to trigger Nelson Semedo's contract extension before the season ends.

The right-back has been at the club since September 2020, when he arrived from Barcelona.

His initial deal runs out at the end of the term, but Wolves can extend it by another two years.

Per the Express and Star, a new deal is not likely at present, as Wolves will simply extend this contract until 2025.

Semedo is on high wages, which is why the club are waiting as late into the season as possible before making a final decision.

The clause would not only keep him at the club, but does also give Wolves leverage should they want to sell Semedo for a substantial fee in the summer.
