Wolves to be without captain Batth for season opener

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be without captain Danny Batth for their 2015/16 Championship season opener against Blackburn Rovers.

Batth had suffered a stress fracture on his left foot during the latter stages of last season and manager Kenny Jackett has revealed that his skipper will not be making a return to full training until after next weekend's first Championship fixture against Blackburn at Ewood Park.

"He's doing well. His return to full training will be the Monday after the Blackburn game," Jackett told the club's official website.

"We're still going to have to be careful with it but he'll be in full training then."
