Wolves' big signing Stefan Maierhofer has only been playing serious football for five years!

Maierhofer didn't turn ­professional until he was 22 after training as a chef in the family restaurant in Vienna.

The Wolves boss is aware that the striker, 27, will be compared to Tottenham's 6ft 7in striker Peter Crouch.

But he said: "There's nothing wrong with being compared to him. I can't see a downside to Crouch ."
