Wolves striker Iwelumo feels back to his best at Bristol City

Wolves striker Chris Iwelumo feels he's getting back to his best on-loan at Bristol City.

The 31-year-old made just two league starts for Wolves this season before joining Bristol City but believes he is back in shape having scored twice in six games for the Robins.

"I joined Wolves last year and I really hit the floor running there," he told skysports.com.

"I had a little dry patch around Christmas and then picked up a bad injury when Lee Carsley's tackle finished off my season.

"I missed the last seven or eight weeks of the season, which was disappointing, but I came back strongly in the summer and did the same pre-season training with everyone else.

"I then broke my foot two or three weeks into pre-season, which was devastating.

"I just had to get myself focused on the rehabilitation program and concentrate on getting back to full fitness, but when I did get back I fractured it again, so I haven't had the best of luck on that front recently.

"I've not looked back since coming back, though, and I'm now back up to speed in terms of getting my fitness levels back up, so I feel like I can offer something different back at Wolves now."
