Wolves striker Doyle intent on getting the goals flowing

Wolves striker Kevin Doyle is determined to start a run of scoring appearances after adding two goals to his season account on Tuesday night.

The Republic of Ireland international scored a brace as Wolves conceded late to draw 2-2 with Bolton at the Molineux and he was relieved to finally have seen the ball hit the back of the net after a string of near misses in recent outings.

Doyle was positive about his own performance after the match but admitted it was frustrating to allow Mark Davies to grab a very late equaliser.

"I don't think I had been blatantly missing chances," said Doyle.

"They had either been saved, hit the woodwork or been cleared off the line. I have enjoyed my football this season but it's nice to have capped it off with some goals.

"We didn't have a whole lot of chances, so it was good to score from the ones we did create. Bjorn Sigurdarson was maybe unlucky with his effort in the second half because it just went wide.

"It would have been better if the goals had brought a victory and we were disappointed to concede. But it was a very good finish (by Davies ) and it happens in football."
