Wolves striker Doyle does not want rest for Man Utd clash

Kevin Doyle is desperate to lead the Wolves line against Manchester United this weekend.

Doyle, a £6.5m buy from Reading, was one of those dumped on the bench despite scoring the winner at White Hart Lane.

Sir Alex Ferguson's men went on to win 3-0 and Wolves were later slapped with a £25,000 fine by the Premier League for breaching the rules by fielding a weakened team.

Doyle said: "I hope I am playing - I want to play. I'm sure the manager will play a strong team. For that game at Old Trafford we had three games in a week and that was the reason for the changes.

"Obviously that's not the case this weekend and I'd love to play."
