Wolves skipper Kilman: Victory at Chelsea just phenomenal

Wolves skipper Max Kilman is delighted with the spirit within their squad this season.

Manager Gary O'Neil came into the club on the eve of the new season after Julen Lopetegui left.

While most pundits predicted relegation, Wolves are safely midtable, which Kilman credits to their desire and mentality.

On their 4-2 win over Chelsea, he stated: “It was phenomenal. From start to finish, we showed a lot of quality and spirit in the squad, how we got the result. How we defended at the end shows what kind of team we are. Of course, bouncing back from the Thursday game, it's a very good performance."

On the team's belief, he added: “When we went a goal down, we continued our game, worked really hard, and the rewards were going to come. We just had to stick to our plan and not let going 1-0 down affect us.

“We showed character in our last game too. We were unfortunate not to get a result, but to come here and come with a great mentality and perform the way we did is credit to everyone."
