Wolves academy chief Chris Evans is proud of the club's role in shaping Everton defender Joleon Lescott's England's career.
Evans said: "I remember introducing Joleon to Sir Jack (Hayward) and telling our then-owner not to forget his name because he would play for England one day.
"I knew even then it was just a matter of time.
"I sent Joleon a message a few months ago telling him to keep playing the way he was for Everton.
"It was inevitable on that form he would soon be picked for England."
