Wolves plan to splash out for St Johnstone midfielder Davidson

St Johnstone midfielder Murray Davidson is in the sights of Wolves.

The Mirror says Davidson, 22, was last week called into the Scotland squad for the friendly against Brazil on Sunday.

He has scored three goals this season and starred for St Johnstone.

Wolves' boss Mick McCarthy is no stranger to raiding Scotland to strengthen his squad at Molineux.

He signed central defender Christophe Berra in a £2.5m deal from Hearts in 2009 and paid £150,000 to sign striker Leigh Griffiths from Dundee in January.
