Wolves have opened talks with Stuttgart for centre-forward Sasa Kalajdzic.
The giant Austrian international was heavily linked with Manchester United earlier in the summer, but a move to Old Trafford failed to materialise.
But now the six foot seven striker could be bound for Molineux with the player already in talks over personal terms, says the Athletic.
The 25-year-old scored six goals in 15 Bundesliga appearances last season.
While not a direct replacement for Pedro Neto, there is the hopeful feeling among Arsenal fans that Kalajdzic's arrival could mean that another of the Old Gold's new signings, Goncalo Guedes, will operate on the wing, thus expediting Neto's move to the Emirates.
