Wolves are set to offer terms to former Stoke City signing Juan Agudelo.
The Express & Star says the 21-year-old United States international played in a behind-closed-doors friendly against an experienced Queens Park Rangers side on Friday afternoon.
But the club want to act quickly with possible renewed interest from the Premier League, where the Colombian-born striker wants to play.
Stoke twice failed to get a work permit for the forward in November and May, after signing him last season, and he was dubbed a future £10million player by their chief executive Tony Scholes.
They couldn't persuade the authorities to allow him a permit as he hadn't played 75 per cent of the United States' internationals in the last two years.
The player is now trying to get a Cypriot passport to enable him to play in England.
