Wolves boss Jackett open to stunning deal for Sunderland outcast Fletcher

Wolves boss Kenny Jackett has floated the sensational prospect of bringing Sunderland striker Steven Fletcher back to Molineux. With Wolves still searching for a striker and the loan window allowing them to make signings to January from October 1, social media has been full of speculation debating Fletcher's possible return.

"He's not one we've pursued but we'll see - we're always looking at players and you never know where you go," said the Wolves chief.

"People (fans) are asking about him but I don't know if he's available. But he's not someone we've considered or we've enquired about."

Asked if he would have any qualms about Fletcher's baggage, Jackett said: "No, if any player was right for the club, I'd go past that but I'd maybe talk about it. If it was the right person - whether he was here before or not - that wouldn't worry me."
