Wolves attacker Neto: O'Neil boosting my confidence

Wolves attacker Pedro Neto has credited manager Gary O'Neil for his fine form this season.

Neto looks back to his absolute best for the Premier League club this term.

The winger was the star of the show as Wolves won against Manchester City at the weekend.

On O'Neil giving him his confidence back, Neto stated: “It's true [previous injury issues], I had a couple of years, the last two, but I needed the confidence which the coach has given to me from the beginning since he arrived.

“I'm really happy to help the team, but we have to continue working."

On the game, he added:

“First of all, it was a hard game. I think the team knew after the Luton game what they needed to do after the tough second half that we had there and today we came here with the mentality that we had to get the three points.

“We knew that it was really important for the team to win this game, and we came here, we did our job and we are really happy."

He then finished: “It's the truth [set up to counter attack]. Up front we have very good players. Hee Chan [Hwang], Cunha and me, we knew we would have the opportunity to go on the counter.

“We knew that 70 per cent or 80 per cent of the time we wouldn't have the ball. To be honest, we were playing against the best team in the world, but we came here with all the hard work we'd done during the week, and we took the three points."
