Wolfsburg midfielder Makoto Hasebe could find himself as Shunsuke Nakamura's replacement at Celtic.

Hasebe has been linked with the Scottish giants but after helping Wolfsburg clinch the German Bundesliga on the weekend, may hang around for the club's voyage into the European Champions League.

The 25-year old is a close friend of Nakamura and is represented by the same agent, Robert Takuda, which makes the potential of a deal more likely but it remains to be seen what exactly will occur.
