Dennis Wise was always leaving Newcastle United, it has been revealed.

The News of the World says Wise was due to leave Newcastle BEFORE the shock move for Alan Shearer.

His relationship with managing director Derek Llambias had collapsed to such a point that the pair had barely spoken since the close of the January transfer window.
