Sunderland have decided to pass on PSV Eindhoven winger Georginio Wijnaldum.
It was claimed yesterday that Sunderland had offered €15 million for the Holland international.
However, Wijnaldum's agent cooled the reports last night.
Agent Humphrey Nijman told Belgian media sources that Sunderland had asked about Wijnaldum. But when informed there was no buyout clause in the deal, Sunderland officials told Nijman they would be looking elsewhere.
Southampton and Zenit St Petersburg are also being linked with the free-scoring winger.
