Wigan Athletic skipper Gary Caldwell has hailed the goal scoring of Arouna Kone.

Wigan's Ivory Coast striker, who scored his third goal of the season on Saturday, is still trying to master English after his summer move from Spain.

Skipper Caldwell said: "Arouna doesn't speak much English but he's getting there.

"He's a quiet lad but he's been excellent for us on the pitch."
