Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is ready to deal in Modeste M'Bami before the weekend.
The 26-year-old former Paris Saint-Germain and Marseille player is a free agent and a had a two-week trial with Wigan in the summer.
Reports in Spain on Tuesday night suggested Martinez faces stiff competition from La Liga side Almeria, but he is confident M'Bia will opt for the Premier League.
