Wigan Athletic No2 Eric Black praised January signings Ben Watson and Charles N'Zogbia for their goals in Saturday's win at Sunderland.

"Two exceptional goals, and two exceptional performances," Black told his club's website.

"I thought Ben Watson covered every blade of grass today, kept the ball well and passes it round nicely too.

"N'Zogbia's goal was pretty impressive when you look at where he's picked it up, and he nearly did the same in the second half. He's been doing really well lately and deserves a goal."
