Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi was proud of victory at Liverpool.

Al Habsi was once again in top form as Latics recorded a memorable 2-1 victory at Liverpool.

"Any win at Liverpool is fantastic, and we can take great confidence from it for next week's game with Stoke," he told the Wigan Evening Post.

"If we can just improve our form at the DW, everything will work out okay. Saturday's result may have surprised a few people, but it has been coming.

"We've been unlucky for a number of weeks, playing well and creating chances, but not managing to get our rewards. But on Saturday we got the luck - and we got the win.

"To go to Anfield and help to make a little piece of history with Wigan is fantastic. It's huge for everyone - for the players, the manager, the fans, the whole football club.

"It was my best moment in football."
