Wigan Athletic chairman Dave Whelan has slammed the FA over the way they're handling the game.

Whelan has called for wholesale changes at all levels to bring football into the 21st Century. And he steamed into Brian Barwick's gang, saying: "We have got to look at the FA and get it re-organised. There are councils with 60 people on them and some from the amateur game.

"England is a professional team and it wants something professional behind it to run it.

"If there is any good to come out of this we will have to look at the structure of the FA."
