Wigan Athletic are still waiting to close a deal for Sporting Kansas City midfielder Roger Espinoza.
Latics boss Roberto Martinez reported no further developments in Wigan's pursuit of Espinoza, the versatile 26-year-old Honduras international.
The work permit hearing ahead of his proposed move to the Latics from Sporting Kansas City takes place in the next few weeks.
