Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is proud of their shock win over Manchester United.
The 1-0 win lifted Wigan out of the dropzone.
Martinez told Absolute Radio: "Well it is, it was a fantastic compliment. Obviously we all admire Sir Alex's career and his achievements in football, and you need to remember that as a football club, Wigan Athletic, we've never taken a point off Manchester United, and that was another mental block that we had to overcome on Wednesday.
"So it is a real compliment, a real football compliment, but we all know as well that since Wednesday night we start thinking about the next game because Arsenal is round the corner, and in the position we're in we need to get enough points to make these results, these performances count at the end of the season, when you look back at the best moments of the seasons."
