Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has no doubts selecting Callum McManaman for today's crunch game against QPR.
McManaman's knee-high tackle on Newcastle left-back Massadio Haidara led to calls for him to be hit with a retrospective three-match ban.
But he is free to line up at QPR on Sunday and at Wembley next Saturday for the FA Cup semi-final against Millwall.
"Callum has coped with the whole situation really well," said Martinez. "He has been a true professional."
