Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez is confident keeping hold of Callum McManaman.
The winger has been linked with Liverpool and Manchester City.
Martinez said: "We will lose one or two during the summer, but if any player needs to stay at this club and become an important part of next season's Championship campaign, it is Callum.
"He is already turning into a phenomenal player for us, but he is only 22 and still needs to work on certain aspects of his game to develop into the player he can be.
"He will be a top player, but the next 10 months are vital to the programme we have mapped out for him. The Championship will be the perfect challenge for continuing his development."
