Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez is keen to bring in a few stars on loan this summer.
The Spanish tactician has revealed that he is in pursuit of some big name players who may join the Latics on loan and says he is determined to add at least one or two of them to his squad for next season.
"The big loan signings, the players we're looking at bringing in, we've been following them for the past six months really," he told the Evening Post.
"With the big players who will make a difference, you need to be working well in advance - and we have been doing just that. We have a clear idea of who we want next season's loans to be.
"The only limitation we have is that we only have two loans from the Premier League, and we have to be spot on with those. Anyone can spot a good player, but whether they are good characters as well - and right for your football club - is much harder."
