Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce wants to send goalkeeper Carlo Nash away on-loan.

The former Preston goalkeeper was given the go-ahead to return to training last week after two months out with a broken leg and Bruce is keen for him to get some first-team action under his belt.

He told the Wigan Evening Post: "Ideally what I would like is for Carlo to go out on loan because he needs first-team games.

"He has been out for a long time but is fit and available now.

"If a club came in and wanted to take him on loan, it's something I would look at."
