Wigan boss Bruce: Incredible so many Man Utd pals in charge of Premiership clubs

Wigan Athletic boss Steve Bruce admits it's "incredible" that four former Manchester United teammates are now in charge of Premiership clubs.

Manchester City manager Mark Hughes and Bruce played together in United's 1994 title-winning side along with Blackburn boss Paul Ince and Sunderland's Roy Keane, and the Wigan manager believes they were destined to go on into management.

"I've not spoken to Mark for a while now, but from afar, it looks like an exciting challenge he's got," Bruce said.

"What's happened at the club since he's been there has been quite remarkable and I'm sure he'll be relishing the challenge.

"It's quite incredible that four of us that played in the same team are all managing in the Premier League. I've always said there was something about that '94 team.

"We all looked at it and enjoy the game that much that we wanted to stay in the game, and all of us to be managing is quite incredible."
