Sunderland striker Connor Wickham hopes for a first team chance after impressing for England U21.

Sunderland's £8million striker netted his fourth goal in five games for England Under-21s on Tuesday - but has made just one Prem start this term.

Wickham, 19, said: "I've had more of a chance with England and a lot of time on the pitch.

"Hopefully I can keep scoring goals and get in the manager's plans."
