Whitehead: Stoke have character to cope with fixture schedule

Stoke are beginning to experience first-hand the difficulties of juggling European and Premier League commitments, but Dean Whitehead is confident the Potters can cope with the gruelling demands. A testing trip to Norwich on their return to England after a 1-0 win in the Europa League play-off against FC Thun in Switzerland ended in a hard fought 1-1 draw at Carrow Road.

"The lads are sticking together and digging in because it's a tough period with the games coming thick and fast. It's all going well at the moment," Whitehead said on the club's official website.

"The more games that we remain unbeaten, the better.

"We have now conceded just the one goal in five matches so far, and we have kept four clean sheets."
